Paid Holidays

Paid Time Off

Full-Time Employees are eligible to receive paid time off each anniversary year based on the employee's hire date. Full-Time Employees accumulate paid time off in the following manner:
• 1 Year Consecutive Service = 5 days off + year sick leave carryover
• 2 Years Consecutive Service = 8 days off + year sick leave carryover
• 4 Years Consecutive Service = 13 days off + year sick leave carryover
• 7 Years Consecutive Service = 18 days off + year sick leave carryover
• 12 Years Consecutive Service = 23 days off + year sick leave carryover

Various Shifts

PRN Medical Transport is a 24/7 medical transportation provider; as such, we offer many different shifts to meet the demands of our facilities and patients. These include:
• Day Shift (08:00 am to 04:00 pm)
• 12-Hour Shifts, 3 Days per Week (4:00 am to 4:00 pm and 8:00 am to 8:00 pm)
• Evenings (04:00 pm to 08:00 pm)
• Nights (06:00 pm to 06:30 am)*
• Weekends (all hours)*

Applicant Requirements

Description:

This Internship is designed to expose students and interested individuals to the medical field from the viewpoint of patient transportation. Medical standards such as American Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA) and medical terminology will be addressed and used in practice.

This Internship will be for a duration of 3 weeks, with an expected 24 to 40 hours per week. Interns will be primarily shadowing Mobility Assistance Vehicle Technicians:

Mobility Assistance Vehicle Technicians (MAVTs) are responsible for transporting private patients and patients from our contracted nursing facilities who are wheelchair-bound. These patients may be transported for a variety of reasons including doctor's appointments, dialysis treatments, physical therapy, and/or other medically needed reasons.

These MAVTs will be responsible for the safe transport and care of these patients throughout the duration of the appointment from the time we pick them up at their residence until the time they are returned to their residence after their appointment.

During this Internship you will receive training in:

CPR (Certification)

Mobility Assistance Vehicle Technician (Certification)

Medical Documentation

Requirements:

  • Applicants must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent General Education Degree (GED)
  • Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving history
  • No more than 2 "at-fault" accidents or moving violations within the past 3 years
  • No suspensions or revocations in the past 3 years
  • No DUI convictions in the past 3 years
  • Applicants must have a clear criminal background
  • No convictions for crimes of violence, substance abuse, or of a sexual nature
  • Applicants must be able to pass a preemployment 10-panel drug screen
  • Applicants will be fingerprinted and the fingerprints will be sent to State and/or Federal authorities to ensure a clean criminal background
  • Applicants must have good communication skills with patients, staff members, and employees
  • Minimum 18 years of age for EMT certified applicants
  • Minimum 23 years of age for non EMT certified applicants
  • Subject to Drug screening (upon hire employee will be reimbursed after 90 day probationary period)
  • Subject to approval with various State enforcement agencies as well as vehicle insurance carrier based on criminal backround and motor vehicle check
